3d-printed adapter plate that holds a hammerhead karoo bike computer on a canyon aeroad's integrated handlebar. printed at home in an 80/20 mix of abs-like and flexible resin — significantly more durable than the OEM.
the OEM plate has a habit of cracking at the cleat tabs after a season or two. modeling a stronger one was a weekend’s hard-surface exercise — the more interesting bit is the print material: an 80/20 mix of abs-like and siraya tech’s “tenacious” flexible resin. the tenacious fraction takes enough of the shock load that the part flexes slightly instead of snapping.
